Mermaid's Refrigeration Line
Mermaid's newest addition, the Kool-Temp (tm) remote refrigeration units, are an ideal addition to any sailing vessel or cruiser where either a previously operating refrigeration/freezer system once lived, or where a new insulated compartment is asking for refrigeration or freezing! Mermaid now manufactures air cooled remote units using the highly respected Danfoss compressors.
Our units are available in either 12v, 24v, and now 12/24v & 110v/220v with auto changeover from 12/24v to 110v/220v and back with no additional controls or circuits! Our sizes range from a 3 cubic feet up to a 9 cubic feet. Refrigeration and Freezing options are both available.
To properly order you system, first determine the size of the area you are looking to cool or freeze. Secondly, determine whether the compartment will be a refrigerator, a freezer, or both. Lastly, order the appropriate condenser and evaporator plate based on your requested needs. Welcome! Here you will find the newest line to the Mermaid Refrigeration product line. The "MM15DR" unit was developed after numerous requests were made to our firm for a unit that can be utilized under a settee seat or lower compartment aboard any vessel. In this location the unit is out of the way yet fully funtional for a quick access and great refrigerated storage!

105M Evaporator
Mermaid's 105M bendable evaporator plate is designed to refrigerate an area with good insulation of no more than 2.8 cubic feet. It is ideal for top and front opening boxes.
160M Evaporator
Mermaid's 190M bendable evaporator plate is designed to refrigerate and/or freeze and area with good insulation of no more than 5 cubic feet for refrigeration and 2.0 cubic feet for a freezer. It is ideal for top and front opening boxes.
190M Evaporator
Mermaid's 190M bendable evaporator plate is designed to refrigerate and/or freeze and area with good insulation of no more than 6 cubic feet for refrigeration and 2.5 cubic feet for a freezer. It is ideal for top and front opening boxes.
260M Evaporator
Mermaid's 260M bendable evaporator plate is designed to refrigerate and/or freeze and area with good insulation of no more than 9 cubic feet for a refrigerator and 3.5 cubic feet for a freezer.
425M Evaporator
Mermaid's 425M bendable evaporator plate is designed to refrigerate and/or freeze and area with good insulation of no more than 15 cubic feet for refrigeration and 5 cubic feet for a freezer. It is ideal for top and front box openings.
