Downloading Data

PRIVACY NOTICE:

The downloading material is designed to prove the operating temperature range for any authorized individual or department seeking this data.  The program is to be used exlusively for the Medi-Kool control board and is not intended for recipients other than the intended users.  Failure to comply with this will result in punishment associated with copyright infringement.

OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:

The temperature controller (download) is designed to work with the Microsoft Excel program.  Click on the link below and "Save" the file.  It MUST be saved as an xls. file.  It is recommended to locate the saved data in c:\MediKool\Data.  Once the file is downloaded, re-open the file and "Run" the program.  A Thermostat Log Downloader v1.001 prompt will display.  Use the pull down tab next to COMMUNICATION PORT "DISABLED" to select the COM Port that your 9-pin Serial Port cable (DB-9 cable) is plugged into then select "Save to File."  Go to the Medi-Kool Control Board and select "Transmit Log" in the menu option.  The Thermostat Log Downloader will activate.  Once the file is downloaded to your device, you may "Erase Log" on your Medi-Kool control board.   It IS necessary to ERASE or DOWNLOAD the data on the control board or operation of the unit may be hindered.  Typical use should allow 30-45 days of storage with continual usage.  3-6 months storage with partial operation. 

At anytime after the download, you can access the file using Microsoft Excel and selecting the file name chosen during the download.  The columns can be adjusted to whatever would suite the needs of the user.  The columns will display a "0," "50," or "100."  A "0" or "100" indicates the relay was in a "closed" position and operating the circuit (compresssor or heater).  If the column shows a "50" the Medi-Kool capacitor was in the "open" showing no operation of the circuit (compressor or heater).
